Eden Amsterdam is located in a unique spot in Amsterdam. Right along the Amstel river and Rembrandt Square with an all of the highlights and hotspots within reach: Rembrandtplein, the Stopera, Waterlooplein and Theater Carré. Various Museums are near, including the Rembrandthuis Museum, Hermitage Amsterdam and Foam photography museum. The area is full of options for dining, going out and all the famous shopping like Kalverstraat and Utrechtsestraat are nearby. If you’d like to see the city from the water, you can step aboard on one of the many canal cruise boats which you can find near the Eden Amsterdam

Most impersonal hotel I have ever stayed in. Arrived, reception checked id then sent me to the self check in terminal. Didn't welcome us, didn't let us know when or where breakfast is, or any of the facilities within the hotel. Just showed us on the street the door to the apartment and that's it. Check out, same thing. Terminal again and when I returned the keys the lady never asked how the stay was or said hello, have a nice day. Balcony covered in cigarettes and other smokables not cleaned from last guest. Lots of things left in fridge and freezer from previous guests. On Day 2 lady emptied the bin but of course didnt put a new trash bag inside. Had to call for toilet paper and coffee. Just outrageous for this price. This is an emotionless hotel with staff who just dont care. I would never ever stay here again. Zero personal touch.

Second stay

Second time staying here. first time in a small double room on the second floor, this time a standard room on the 3rd floor, over all hotel is amazing staff are very nice and hotel is kept clean, tidy and smelling nice. The bed rooms are amazing especially the standard double bed specifically room 390 unbelievable view, great location 10-15 minute walk from the centraal station and 30 seconds around the corner from the ice bar everything else is in 5-10 minute walking distance. Will be back!

Avoid. Avoid

My word. Where to Start with this review. So firstly the positives. Lovely reception area. Good if a little chaotic breakfast. Now the negatives. Room 200 on the second floor. Just downright dirty. Carpets and skirting boards filthy. Stains on the wall and bedding. Bathroom door that you could see through without a lock. A high bed pushed against the wall so I had to climb over my husband to get in and out (No problem you may think). But not if you are in your sixties like us. No housekeeping. No change of towels. Broken hairdryer. Unhelpful staff. And a very rude note found in the safe deposit box. Which told us That the room hadn't been checked over. To summarise I would give this hotel a wide berth as it badly needs a deep clean.
