Humid and old rooms but great service

Very nice place, close to everything ! Unfortunately the first room we went in, the shower was stuck, the drain was stuck with lots of hair and mud. We moved into another room and it was really hard to breathe because it was an old room and very humid. For the customer service I have to say it was really great. The first problem they solved really easily they even offered us a late check out and a free breakfast. The amenities are great with a 24/7 convenience store inside.

Not long enough

Friendly welcome at Reception. Comfortable room. Glad we elected to pay extra for Breakfast as it was excellent. Good location for walking through the old town. Glad we chose the Eden Hotel.

Traumatizing Experienced

For a start they have a really bad customer service. I called the reception desk for a room cleaning I told them that I’m going out and if it’s possible to have our room clean while I’m gone, after 1 hr & a half I got back and im not feeling well and there it is. Still not clean. And the receptionist just said there are so many rooms so they can’t really say when there is house cleaners available. lol I just don’t know how to react on that. So they gave me a free drink but white waiting I saw this receptionist (Lara)saying she never experience so much negative energy she knew I would hear it😂😂. Room 891 by the way. I went to the front desk trying to understand how it works to have your room clean. I felt that was ganged up by Lara & the supervisor because there is this other guy who is trying to be funny while I’m upset & dizzy and the receptionist & supervisor did not do anything about it. I don’t know if I can refund & check inn to another hotel to feel safe.

ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!

After seeing a couple of not so good reviews. I can confirm this hotel is perfect. I did make sure beforehand that a room to our request was allocated. The Eden team did not disappoint. I booked a canal view room but requested a higher floor positioned room. Everything from arrival to departure was perfect. We did not have breakfast but used the onsite shop which has plenty of food and drink options. The restaurant/bar has a wonderful barman, didn't get his name but he is Italian, so friendly. In fact, everyone was, so the hotel must have a happy staff. Sleep was perfect, beds were comfortable. Lift access to rooms. Amsterdam is not a cheap area, so prices charge are reflected with this in mind. Our room, some may feel needs a little TLC but we didn't for the view we had which was of the Amstel river. Window in our room not double glazed but minimal noise from outside. The thing missing we would say is a small table to have by the window and maybe some draw space. I am sure when we return, a table request is all that is needed. Rembrandt square is on the doorstep with the tram service to most areas you need. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!!

3 happy nights

From our Online experience before our check-in, every detail was flawlessly prepared by the friendly and attentive Eden staff. While we were aware of a government tax increase which would be charged upon arrival, the front desk apologized for the mandated tax charge before finalizing paperwork for our arrival. Through Email and their website, Eden staff members made every effort to offer us a stay that more than met our expectations. The hotel offers a one-hour canal tour; and Eden's price is lower than the ticket sales price direct with the tour office, take advantage of it. Even if you've done it before, each captain has a personal perspective. We learned about new sites we had missed in previous visits. While we had a Standard King, with no view (as understood) the room was quiet, and very comfortable. Complimentary bottled water, room safe and drink voucher were provided in the room. The Eden City Centre was an easy transfer from Schiphol Airport using rail Hopper and one tram (4 or 14) to Rembrandtplein Square. We set up OVpay app with our CC prior to arrival so municipal travel was efficient and economical. So much helpful information was provided by Eden by email and on their website prior to our arrival which we'd planned The only negative was the shower. The bath in our room was narrow, which is fine - but the shower partial door was awkward to avoid splashing onto the floor. Using the shower and shower wand would have been much easier with a shower curtain instead of the upscale glass partition. The water temp and pressure were fine. We did not take advantage of the generous breakfast buffet, but did appreciate the inside convenience store for snacks, self-serve espresso and toiletries - 24/7. We'll recommend and would return to the Eden Hotel Amsterdam without hesitation. Thank you.
