Great location, management follow-up less than stellar

This hotel has a great location. It's right on the canal and we had a canal room which was awesome. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our room window which didn't open. Being international visitors, we specifically wanted a canal room with an operational window to really experience the sounds of canal life - and for fresh air vs AC. We brought the issue to staff multiple times and they were always amazing and indicated it should be fixed by now. Upon check-out they were no happy it wasn't done and gave us the manager's email and when we got home, we reached out to them to no avail. I'm only mentioning this so management doesn't come on here and say that we should reach out and they can discuss things further -- we already did that and they dropped the ball. Sad really, it may seem like a small issue, but why would I want to run the air conditioner when I can open a window and get fresh air? That aside, it is a great little hotel with wonderful staff and location. One odd thing was the make up mirror which was stationary and screwed onto the wall in such an odd place that you'd have to sit on the sink to get any use out of it.

Central clean and tidy hotel

Clean tidy hotel lovely breakfast selection that was well presented and tasty. Helpful friendly staff. The room suited our needs. Comfy bed. The check in and out was very quick and easy. Would stay there again. Its not luxury but it is a central base to explore the city.

The best hotel in Holland

We just fell in love with the hotel (we will come back for the fourth time 😍)The staff is very friendly and helpful,nice rooms and clean and of course you can't find a better location(restaurants,the flowers market,shops)Thank you again for the best experience

Awful Experience at Eden Hotel Amsterdam – Stay Away!

Our experience at Eden Hotel in Amsterdam was truly awful from start to finish. The customer service was some of the worst we’ve ever encountered. The man at the front desk was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. We arrived early and politely asked if we could check in a bit sooner — the room was clearly ready — but he refused with attitude and zero courtesy. Then, instead of offering any assistance, he actually told me to go get our luggage from the room myself during check-in. Completely unheard of and incredibly disrespectful. The room itself was also a huge disappointment — way smaller than advertised, cramped, and nothing like the pictures online. But what really made us decide to leave was the racist behavior from the man at the front desk. It was painfully obvious that he treated us differently from other guests, and it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior. Because of all this, we ended up leaving and booking another hotel for the rest of our stay in Amsterdam. That turned out to be the best decision we made. I would absolutely never recommend Eden Hotel Amsterdam to anyone — avoid this place at all costs.

Best pillows

Best pillows I’ve ever experienced. The beds were massive considering it was just a standard double room. The location is ideal and has a tram round back. Close to 3 coffee shops and plenty of bars and restaurants. Has a shop on property for any snacks. We appreciated the free water and chocolate bar in the room and the tote bag to use for shopping. Air on was noisy and kept breaking
