Awful Experience at Eden Hotel Amsterdam – Stay Away!

Our experience at Eden Hotel in Amsterdam was truly awful from start to finish. The customer service was some of the worst we’ve ever encountered. The man at the front desk was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. We arrived early and politely asked if we could check in a bit sooner — the room was clearly ready — but he refused with attitude and zero courtesy. Then, instead of offering any assistance, he actually told me to go get our luggage from the room myself during check-in. Completely unheard of and incredibly disrespectful. The room itself was also a huge disappointment — way smaller than advertised, cramped, and nothing like the pictures online. But what really made us decide to leave was the racist behavior from the man at the front desk. It was painfully obvious that he treated us differently from other guests, and it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior. Because of all this, we ended up leaving and booking another hotel for the rest of our stay in Amsterdam. That turned out to be the best decision we made. I would absolutely never recommend Eden Hotel Amsterdam to anyone — avoid this place at all costs.

Best pillows

Best pillows I’ve ever experienced. The beds were massive considering it was just a standard double room. The location is ideal and has a tram round back. Close to 3 coffee shops and plenty of bars and restaurants. Has a shop on property for any snacks. We appreciated the free water and chocolate bar in the room and the tote bag to use for shopping. Air on was noisy and kept breaking

Very nice, one flaw

Comfortable, quiet and clean room. Wonderful well prepared breakfast buffet BUT Very narrow tub for shower with awkward placement of shower head, hazardous for older person. My husband slipped in the shower and bruised his arm, fortunately didn't hit his head. Convenient to public transportation.

Just OK at the Eden.

Hotel was in a good location. Checkin was smooth. We had room 185 and had a hot wayer supply issue. Showers went from hot to cold, cold to hot. Was not comfortable. We had to run water in sink most times for atleast 10 minutes to get any hot water most times. Other than that, room was good.

Location is perfect

We like this location a lot. we basically walked everywhere from the hotel. Behind the hotel, there is tram station. You can swipe credit card to ride it. Make sure you swipe on and off the tram. There are also plenty of restaurants around it. however, it’s not girl friendly bathroom. There is no counter space at all. No place to put toothbrush, makeup accessories.
