More like a 3 star than 4 star hotel

We had booked a twin room with a canal view but were given a double room. When we questioned this and asked to move we were then given the only twin room available. This was on a lower floor and didn't have double glazing. We had already noticed how noisy the double room had been from passing traffic even with double glazing and we felt the twin room would be even worse so we had to return to the double room. We were surprised that for a 4 star hotel there was no fridge and our room wasn't serviced so we had to reuse dirty teacups and drinking glasses and replenish the drinking water ourselves. The room had a lovely canal view but was very noisy throughout the night with passing traffic and late-night revellers.

Great location, views and easy to navigate hotel services

Eden Hotel was a gateway to many of Amsterdam's attractions. Beds are super-comfy, hotel is very clean. Location superb--right on the Amstel looking out to bridges, canal, Opera house. We walked mostly everywhere. Easy check in and out. Make sure to request daily maid service and extra towels. Not a "convention" or group tour hotel-so perfect for a vacation!

Great location, not so good room cleaning policy.

Hotel has great location for visiting museums, canal trips etc. Not so good is the mysterious and carefully hidden room cleaning policy. Staff are not allowed to tell you that rooms are not cleaned unless you ask. We asked 3 times before we finally got it cleaned late on second day. We had to ask again on third day!

Weekend break

Decent location. Meet our needs for a 4 night stay. Room comfortable but lacks refrigerator. Service only after 3 nights, woud have preferred 2. Soap dispenser in bathroom high for short person.

UNCOMFORTABLE BEDROOM

I had room number 309 that it wasn't a "a corridor with a bed", really too little and uncomfortable for the cost I paid (450€ per night)
