Great time and great location

We had some issues upon arrival . However once they were brought to the attention of management, they were all rectified and compensated for immediately. It was amazing how quickly they took care of the issues! We had an apartment with large windows and a beautiful canal view. Amsterdam is quite a city but watch out for the bikes! Located near Rembrandtplein with lots of restaurants to enjoy.

Excellent place to stay

The location was superb, within walking distance of the museums and the flower market, along with all the other sites to see in Amsterdam. The tram stops more or less outside the back door. You can jump on a boat cruise of the canals from almost outside the front foyer The staff are friendly and courteous, they have brilliant multi-lingual skills, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we only stayed for 3 nights and we were very sad to leave.

Great location, okay accommodations

The room was typically sized for Europe - small. It could have been laid out better, but it was fine. There is no way two people could have stayed in the room, however, and it was a double. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows allowed for great sleep. It was unseasonably warm when I was in Amsterdam and the A/C worked great to cool down the room. The breakfast was more than ample, but not sure if it is worth $25/day. The location is the best part of this hotel, very centrally located. Three minute walk to the 4/14 tram stop to get you to Centraal Station, or if you are at a conference at the RAI, it was an easy, direct 20 minute tram ride. Walking down to Dam square/Centraal was also easy. I would often take the tram down and stroll back along the canals. The hotel was bustling, always. It had a bit of a chaotic feel, which was fine, but I don't think it was my vibe. It was also close to several bars/cafes, so it could get loud at night. Running the A/C did drown out the noise, however. So my biggest issue was the value. I don't think it was worth what I paid. I priced out some of the gorgeous boutique hotels in converted houses right along the canals and they were similarly priced. But again, it was fine for solo travel and exploring the city and if I were only in the city for a day or two, I would consider staying here again.
